PMC Civil & Structural Lead Engineer
to oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with project requirements and standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the civil and structural engineering activities for the project ensuring timely and quality delivery of designs and documentation.Review and approve civil and structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural designs.Provide technical guidance and solutions to address complex civil and structural challenges.Monitor and evaluate contractor performance during design and construction phases ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction activities meet design intent and project requirements.Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all civil and structural engineering activities.Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and engineering change requests related to civil and structural aspects.Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for project management and stakeholders.Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.Qualifications:Education:
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.Experience:
12-15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.Previous experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
Skills:
Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software (e.g. STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD).Strong knowledge of international civil and structural engineering codes and standards (e.g. ACI, ASCE, Eurocodes).Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong leadership and communication skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
