JobPurpose:

SME plays a significantrole in driving the economic health of the UAE and represent themajority of business in the economy. As the world continues tobecome more connected SMEs will increasingly become internationaland that FAB is better placed to meet their needs by increasingstrength to support domestic SME business.

Thejobholder will prepare a selfdevelopment plan agree it with LineManager and work progressively towards achieving it. Seek bestpractices from other peers and colleagues. Would be required toattend training sessions as planned by management. Should have astrong ability to provide direction in assessing  andcapturing customer needs and opportunities effectively within theexisting new and prospective customer base.

Todrive best practice in lending and risk policies ensuring thisremains in line with FABpractices. 

KeyAccountabilities:

Salesand Financial:

  • Increasedepth and breadth of Relationship with existingcustomers.
  • Increased sales volumes/ marketshares in target market.
  • Utilization of limitsfor the new approved limits.
  • Number and qualityof Credit Applications processed.
  • Response& Turnaround Times of Customer requests &processing business applications.
  • Alignment ofstructure & pricing of the proposed limits with customersneeds.
  • Establishment of an efficientcustomerfocused approach representing a strong competitiveedge.
  • Implementing tools and programmes tocreate a business inflow and outflow among the existing SMEclientele in the unit.
  • Increase share ofhighend market and quality business within assignedsegment.
  • By using the existing borrowingclienteles suppliers & buyers creating new borrowingrelationship to the bank
  • To develop and managethe portfolio of the company for Corporate/ CommercialFinancing.
  • Minimizing oneoff transactions byadequately structuring customer limits andtargeting.
  • Non borrowing clients having oneoffrequest.
  • Establish and maintain a workingrapport with customers by providing expertise in identifying theirfinancial needs and the deployment of banks products &Services to the fulfilment of theseneeds.
  • Provide customers with accurate andtimely information on products and reveal the benefits affectingtheir businesses.
  • Keep customers and prospectsupdated on new products &Services.
  • Actively source business fromprospects and follow up on sales leads within designated marketsegments.
  • Plan visits to nonborrowing clientsas well as NTBs coordination with GTB and FXteam.
  • Identify and forward sales leads to otherareas in the Bank for crossselling.
  • Coordinatewith product managers/ specialists on promoting Banksproducts.

RiskManagement:

  • PrepareCredit Application (CA) analyze financial statements and make itready for approvals.
  • Ensure CAs for new clientsand also renewals for existing clients are correctly prepared inaccordance with the bank policies and regulationframework.
  • Recognize early warning signals ofunsatisfactory account conduct and pursue the collection of pastdue loans.
  • Effective work processing and riskmanagement.
  • Responsible to assess credit riskset and structure limits.
  • Assess the financialand business risks involved in lending to particular businessesmainly by looking at the Companys competitive position within itsindustry its strategic direction management quality and itsfinancial profile.
  • Identify and analyze theareas of potential risk threatening the assets earning capacity orsuccess of Organizations in various businessfields.
  • Perform analysis to credit worthinessand recommend appropriate creditlimits.
  • Proactively manage the assignedportfolio risk by ensuring timely renewal of accounts within theapplicable time standards provided all required information isavailable.

Profitability& ExpenseControl:

  • Ensureeffective utilization of limits in order to maximizeprofitability.
  • Regularly monitor MIS reportsfor FX and Trade Working Capital revenues andutilizations.
  • Continuously seek to increaserevenue margins fromcustomers.

CustomerService & ServiceLevel: 

  • Wheneverneeded contact customer service groups and processing units toensure satisfactory service standards aremet.
  • Operations and Processresponsibilities.

Activities/ Operations:

  • Discusscredit packages with respective Credit Team and approvingauthorities if needed.
  • Establish and maintain aclose working relationship with Credit Division/ CreditAdministration.
  • Understand customers financialneeds & initiate formulation of written proposals tofulfill these needs with banks products within the generalguidelines of Business Banking and regulatingauthorities.
  • Review credit analysis and addhigh standard qualitativecomments.

Compliance:

  • Compliancewith bank related policies and procedures and Business Bankingstandards in structuring & pricing oflimits.
  • Adhere and comply with banks internalapplicable policies and procedures as well as governing regulationsissued by concernedauthorities. 
  • Cooperate and facilitatework of internal audit and risk management to address gaps andrespond to audit reports within agreeddeadlines.
  • Monitor money laundering activitiesand coordinate remedial actions withmanagement. 

Knowledge:

  • Strongunderstanding of financial and SME banking services andproducts.
  • Good understanding of market bestpractices and dynamics including demographic factors competitorproducts and services.
  • Strong understanding andworking knowledge of SME banking and relatedregulations.
  • Appropriate riskawareness.
  • Understands legal structuresconsistent with different type ofbusinesses.

Qualifications:

MinimumQualification

University Degree /MBA / PGDM / Sales diploma or certificationpreferable.

MinimumExperience

58 years relevantexperience in the banking sector with at least 4 years in similarpositions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilitiesin the Business Bankingfunction.
