Job Details

a COO with at least 10 years' experience in a senior operational management role, with a proven track-record of managing operations in a multi-subsidiary organization, preferably within diverse industry sectors. Experience in management consulting, with a focus on operational strategy, process optimization, and organizational development would be an advantage. Our client is an established organization, and they offer good benefits. Description:

  1. Collaborate with the Group CEO and executive team to develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's vision, mission, and overall business objectives
  2. Oversee the daily operations of our client and its subsidiaries, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources
  3. Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all subsidiaries
  4. Coordinate with the GMs of each subsidiary to ensure alignment with the holding company's strategic goals
  5. Provide support and guidance to subsidiary GMs, helping them achieve their performance targets and operational goals
  6. Establish metrics and operating KPIs to monitor the performance of subsidiaries, and report findings to the Group CEO and Board of Directors
  7. Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational efficiency and profitability
  8. Work closely with the HR Director to ensure the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing operational teams
  9. Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  10. Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  11. Maintain open and effective communication with the Group CEO and subsidiary leadership
  12. Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to the Group CEO and Board of Directors

Criteria:

  1. 10+ years of experience in senior operational management role, someone currently working as a COO would have an added advantage
  2. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, management, or a related field
  3. MBA and/or Project Management would be an advantage
  4. Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  5. Excellent strategic planning and execution skills
  6. Skilled at influencing others, gaining buy-in, and driving change across diverse teams and stakeholders
  7. Prioritizes the needs and satisfaction of customers, ensuring that operations align with delivering value to customers
  8. Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control
  9. Sound judgement in balancing risks and opportunities to make the best decisions for the organization
  10. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in consultancy-based problem-solving approaches. Evaluate complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
  12. Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  13. Ability to conduct detailed market assessment, competitive analysis, market entry strategies, gap analysis, and business planning
  14. Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful growth and value creation strategies
  15. Excellent analytical and observational skills
  16. Passion for personal and team development
  17. High ethical standards, building trust within and outside the organization
  18. Must have a valid UAE driving license
  19. Must currently reside in the UAE
