Job Summary
This position will manage the MEA region regarding policies and objectives involving local, state, and federal government affairs. Maintains and nurtures relationships with the government, associated authorities and all committees legislatively represents and protects organization interests.

es- Responsible for regional governmental strategy Development- Assists in the establishment of corporate policies, and plans, which align with government laws, regulations and standards- Manage industry association and coalitions- Leads analysis of proposed legislative actions determines the potential impact on the organization and develops appropriate responses- Responsible for monitoring all legislative proposals that might impact the Company- Lead proactive strategies and develop key stakeholder relationships, contact points, trends, and messaging to solidify a reputation as an industry leader in energy and the environment, a concerned corporate citizen, and a socially conscious organization with community values and interests locally and nationally.- Contribute to the development of strategy and policy at a national and company-wide level, working within the strategic brand and communications model.- Develop an increasingly effective and consistent approach to stakeholder relationships and messaging, focusing on complex and critical issues within the state.- Proactively build and maintain internal and external networks to absorb and promote professional best practices for government relations.- Track, monitor, and influence government actions that impact the Company's business plan and policies at the state, local, and federal levels.- Provide professional advice and guidance to senior Executives within and beyond External Affairs on governmental/political issues, as well as briefing and supporting more widely on trends, issues and messages.- Manage reputation and interests with industry bodies and business associations, lobby groups, environmental groups, and other stakeholders in the state, to further the Company's reputation and interests.- Manage lobbying consultants engaged in supporting Company's strategic policy agenda.- Support the Company's emergency management response plans.- Assist with Okeanos Corporate Social Responsibility efforts (Only for applicants with sustainable/environmental background).

Job Qualifications- Bachelor and/or master's degree, or equivalent in international affairs, international trade, law, business, environment, sustainability, international business, political science, or related field.- 3+ years experience in roles relating to government, communications, lobbying, public affairs, campaigns, political, policy, or press role- Language: English (Native or B2) and regional language

Technical Skills- Advanced Research Skills- Experienced or willing to engage in global partnerships- Energy, environmental, oil, gas, or chemical experience is welcome, but not required.- Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and resolve complex pre-sales technical problems.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Expertise in analysis, critical decision making, project management, and process improvement
