Job Description

The Assistant Conference & Events Operations Manager, reporting to the Conference & Events Operations Manager, collaborates with department supervisors and team leaders to ensure flawless execution of various events such as functions, dinners, exhibitions, and conferences.

Success in this position hinges on the ability to support a large team of food and beverage attendants in delivering exceptional service within Brisbane's premier conferencing facility. This involves close cooperation with other hotel departments, including Sales and Kitchen teams.


What you will be doing:
- Assisting in leading, mentoring, and training a team of food and beverage ambassadors in banquet operations
- Supervising and assigning tasks while upholding brand standards
- Ensuring client expectations are exceeded for each event
- Providing a luxurious service that aligns with Sofitel brand values
- Collaborating with other hotel departments to innovate new products and services
- Fostering a strong Heartist culture and a team dedicated to crafting memorable guest experiences
Qualifications
Your background and skills should include:
- A strong focus on luxury service and a desire for career advancement with Sofitel
- Over 2 years of leadership experience in overseeing a large operational team
- Exceptional networking abilities with a proven track record of building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Clear communication skills and proficiency in IT and computer operations
- Expertise in cultivating a positive team culture
- A history of outstanding performance and accomplishments
