GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail is a Premium National Curriculum for England School, located in the rapidly expanding Dubai Hills development.

The Primary section opened in September 2013 and Secondary opened in September 2014. This is an international world-class school dedicated to fostering a passion for excellence in learning and in life. Children learn in a vibrant, inclusive and creative learning environment that encourages teamwork, critical thinking, independent inquiry and risk-taking.

Our staff are recruited almost exclusively from the UK and are highly skilled and experienced in delivering the National Curriculum.

Teaching is significantly enhanced through the use of technology, which is used predominantly by students to create and present new content.

About the Role:


We are looking for a committed and dynamic Head of Music to join GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail from September 2023.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader looking for the next step in their career. You should be somebody who is looking to join a global leading company and a world-class international school.


You will be responsible for running a successful department and should have previous experience implementing outstanding teaching and learning practice both within the classroom and across a wider department setting.


  • Experience teaching and leading Music at GCSE and A-Level or equivalent
  • A proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning
  • Significant experience of the National Curriculum for England
  • The successful applicant will possess the willingness to commit to Extra Curricular activities.
