Assistant Manager - Business Development (Government & Commercial) [Emirati]

Our client is a leading FMCG company based in Dubai, committed to excellence and innovation in their industry. Due to the continuous growth and expansion, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager - Business Development (Government & Commercial) [Emirati] to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the closure of business deals by coordinating and managing various tasks related to business meetings, action items, and progress tracking. This position requires excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to details, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company's presence within the government and commercial sectors.
  2. Ensure early attendance to scheduled meetings and in the absence of scheduled meetings, ensure attendance at HO.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends, analyzing competitor activities, and networking with key stakeholders.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, corporate clients, and distributors to secure new contracts and partnerships.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.
  6. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients to achieve favorable terms and agreements.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue growth, market share, and profitability, and report findings to senior management.
  8. Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and market trends to anticipate changes and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  9. Translate meeting minutes and action points into 4 boxes & 100-day plan format and align action items with responsible parties within correspondences.
  10. Prepare and deliver presentations, pitches, and product demonstrations to prospective clients and partners.
  11. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support business development efforts.
  12. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, project management or sales roles, preferably within the FMCG industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in government and commercial sectors. Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence key decision-makers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of government procurement processes and regulations in Dubai is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
