The Bid Manager , Incentives & Corporate , will manage a portfolio of Incentive and Corporate accounts and handle the bid process and strategy till the Incentive and Conference wins . The Bid Manager will work closely with Dubai stakeholders and international corporate clients and agencies , along with Dubai Business Events ecosystem, in devising compelling bid documents & presentations site inspection while maintaining sales account information in DBE's CRM system. The Bid Manager , Incentive & Corporate , will develop and manage the support programme dedicated to this segment. This role is critical in reinforcing Dubai's stature as a premier global destination for incentives and corporate meetings , aligning with DFRE's strategic aims and Dubai's broader business tourism growth objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Core Functional Responsibilities & Subject Matter Expertise

Strategic Bid Management

Develop and execute a strategic plan for identifying and securing incentive and corporate event bids that align with Dubai Tourism's objectives to attract international tourists.

Manage the bid lifecycle, ensuring timely and competitive proposals that meet client and stakeholder expectations.

Business Development and Networking

Network with corporate and incentive business events professionals worldwide to build relationships and advocate for Dubai's unique offerings.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Dubai Tourism, DFRE teams, local businesses, and international partners, to gather support and resources for bid proposals.

Work closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate & Incentive Sales, to align bid strategies with overall sales and marketing objectives.

Incentive Program Management

Oversee the development and management of incentive programs designed to attract and retain international Incentive and Corporate Meetings in Dubai.

Ensure the incentive program is competitive, compelling, and communicated effectively to potential clients and partners.

Market Analysis and Insight

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights in the global Corporate and Incentive sector.

Utilize market insights to inform bid strategies and promotional activities.

Reporting and Communication

Provide regular reports on bid activities, sales activities outcomes, and market insights to DFRE leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members, stakeholders, and partners involved in the bid process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bid management, with a successful track record of securing bids for large-scale international Incentives and Corporate Conferences .
  • Extensive experience in engaging with global markets, including organizing and leading promotional sales activities, and networking with international event agencies and corporate clients.
  • Experience in developing and managing incentive programs designed to attract and retain international incentives and conferences.
  • Strong background in strategic planning and execution within business events, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences) sectors
  • Experience in sales and marketing within the tourism or events industry, with a focus on creating compelling value propositions and promotional materials.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in bid management, sales, or business development, preferably within the corporate world or in an incentive agency or the MICE sector in general (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration. A Master's degree (MBA or related field) is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in related areas ( CMP, ICCA Skills, MPI or IAPCO) or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Capacity to envision and execute innovative incentive programs that appeal to a global audience.
  • Proficiency in managing the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal development, submission, and follow-up.
  • Skilled in crafting compelling bid proposals that effectively showcase Dubai's unique value proposition as a global business events destination.
  • Strong networking skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with international clients, business events professionals, and industry partners.
  • Ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders in the global business events community.
  • Acumen in conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights in the international business events sector.
  • Ability to leverage market insights to inform bid strategies and promotional activities.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering high-impact presentations to promote Dubai as a premier destination for business events.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple bids and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex logistics and schedules.
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities, essential for developing unique and attractive bid proposals and incentive programs.
  • Willingness to experiment with new ideas and approaches to enhance Dubai's competitiveness in the global business events market.
  • Familiarity with bid management tools and CRM platforms to enhance the visibility and appeal of Dubai's business events offerings.
  • Impeccable written and oral English skills along another European or Asian Language (Mandarin preferred)
