HSBC's Global Payments Solutions (GPS) serves as a core service provider to Global Banking and Markets (GB&M) and Commercial Banking (CMB) customers.

Responsible for proactively managing, leading and driving the MENAT GPS Product Management organization throughout the region, in order to position HSBC as the market leading provider of Cash Management in each of its chosen customer segments and countries within the region.

The jobholder is responsible for establishing payment strategy, product development & design and tracking business performance.


We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our GPS team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.


In this role, you will:

  • Adhere to the Product Lifecycle methodology
  • Creation and management of product approval papers including submissions to risk committees, product approval committees
  • Drive and deliver Currency Clearing Payments product innovation
  • Be responsible for the profitability of all Currency Clearing Payments solutions within the GPS MENAT team based at UAE.
  • Monitor monthly volumes, processing cost
  • Guide GPS OPS to set up/ develop product features
  • Define and set up processes with the help of local service delivery/ Global Service Centres
  • Manger Product approval documentation from appropriate risk management forums
  • Be responsible for overall product profitability for Currency Clearing payments
  • Identify market opportunities and promote Currency Clearing & FCP solutions
  • Ensure proper reflection of currency clearing payment related revenue and cost within GLCM books and availability of necessary Management Information to accurately measure the currency clearing product performance.
  • Create and maintain the model for evaluating partner bank's currency clearing solutions and how the learning can be used to build solution inhouse.
  • Communicate openly and effectively across stakeholders in respect of various programme requirements and deliverables for corporate payments.
  • Engage with IT, Client Groups, Compliance, Legal and global product lines.
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Prior Payments and Cash Management experience is required
  • Excellent knowledge of banking payment products and the bank's key market; direct product management experience an advantage
  • Commercial orientation including a client facing experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and process
  • Solid experience on product marketing environment
  • High level of people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
