Role Summary:

The Senior Government & Partnership Specialist is responsible for overseeing partnerships and government relations. This is through identifying, developing, and maintaining business relationships with government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to support the IMI's strategic business objectives. This role requires high levels of trust and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Government relations & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent professionally IMI externally with all government, regulators and related third parties.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant government entities to ensure access and appropriate support when needed.
  • Ensure federal and governmental applications and processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner in line with the demands of the business.
  • Provide and update IMI with efficient, prompt, reliable and accurate information on government regulations and processes to always ensure full compliance.
  • Ensure any interactions with government bodies are conducted in the best interests of IMI and always represent the business in a professional manner.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor all government relations activity across IMI to ensure that all time-sensitive documents and licenses are renewed ahead of deadline to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations.

Protocol Management & Governance:

  • Plan and coordination with internal and external parties (DIWANs, government authorities, etc.) IMI official occasions, visits, meetings, and functions including logistics in line with international standards and best practices.
  • Develop protocol code of practice including standards, process, procedures, and systems across IMI.

Partnerships:

  • Support in effective alignment of partnership/MOU's with key strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Support with the negotiation, development, and implementation of all relevant partnerships/ MOU's agreements.
  • Monitor, review, and evaluate the progress of all partnership/ MOU's, agreements, and initiatives to build and enhance performance and deliver improved stakeholder outcomes.
  • Research to identify new and prospective partners inside and outside the country.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Ensure clear and effective communication with all partners and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic directions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, international relations, or any related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful partnership development, preferably within the government or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of government operations, policy-making processes, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-level officials and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel as required for meetings, conferences, and program oversight. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to transparency and accountability. the organization, as well as the specific expertise of the candidate.Excellent English & Arabic communication skills.
