The position of a site/marine foreman occupies the first supervisory tier, just above workers (skilled/unskilled) but below managers. This position is key to a succession of projects as the foreman will coordinate and oversee workers on site. This role provides the link between workers, site progress, and project management.

The site/marine foreman has a solid background in the field.

Leadership and extensive experience are key elements which a foreman must possess in order to have the ability to direct the work of others, make quick decisions, and ensure safety/HSE regulations are followed.


What you will do?

  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and direct people, equipment, and resources on site. Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of site teams. Maintain work standards, ensure team morale, and comply with project & company policies and procedures. Liaise with HR on employee issues, disciplinary, training, terminations, investigations and other matters.
  • Safety: Accountable for crew work culture and safety. Must enforce safety/HSE standards across work sites, facilitate Toolbox meetings, participate in safety/incident investigations, ensure completion of safety assessments, and ensure vehicle/equipment checks are carried out. Works closely with the HSE manager or safety officer.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Working with the team to meet project deadlines. Review work requirements and coordinate with project management to amend/modify work schedules. Perform daily/weekly activating to meet project goals.
  • Employee Relations: Resolve issues between team members, support/promote/foster teamwork and harmony between all team members. Adhere to HR/company policies to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Overseeing execution of work, including quality, and ensuring that the team works to project specifications and follows plans. Ensure completed work meets company quality standards.

Administration and Reporting:
Provide various reports as per project management requirements (daily/weekly/other). Keep daily employee time logging, violation/disciplinary reports, and other documents as instructed. Obtain and submit project completion certificates upon project end.

What we are looking for?

  • Proven minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a foreman role within Marine Construction.
  • Working knowledge of Safety/HSE standards.
  • Able to read drawings & plans.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Problemsolving abilities
  • IT Skills: Windows/MS Office.
  • UAE Driving License (3)
  • Ready to travel per project requirements within/outside UAE.
  • PADI certification is an advantage.
