Based in Dubai, you will be a manager of client development and marketing initiatives to drive the growth of our business and support Middle East lawyers with their marketing efforts.

For the region, you will build and manage all client development. In this work, there will be significant global collaboration, in line with how our partners go to market. There will also be significant partnership with U.S.

client development counterparts, who are focused on practice-led roles - you will take responsibility for supporting all office requests for client development and marketing, and in this work, ensure that the most up-to-date information and approaches from a practice perspective are incorporated seamlessly.

You will also work directly with the office managing partner, setting the strategy for the way forward.


You will lead the delivery of multiple business pitches, suggesting the go to market approach and how to position the Firm to win while ensuring the content is up to date and accurate.

You will take a critical eye to every effort, ensuring we present the right capabilities and team. On an annual basis you will conduct a W/L analysis and own the practice budget.


You will direct efforts to cascade new information about capabilities and client wins through marketing materials including practice group descriptions and lawyer biographies.

You will be responsible for lawyer biographies of your office.


You will lead client continuing legal education events, taking ownership of all logistics related to program (virtual and in-person, as possible).

You will collaborate with relevant colleagues and stakeholders to ensure an outstanding experience for our clients and a seamless delivery.


As a marketing leader outside of the U.S., you will have an important role in shaping the global marketing services to fit with the local approach.

You will ensure that branding, digital, intelligence, client entertainment and CRM efforts work for the needs of the offices.


In your role, you will represent the global department at office and regional meetings, providing an update on the area you lead, as well as cascading information on global department initiatives and implementing the related partner training.

Additionally, you will support department initiatives and own projects in line with your strengths and passions.

You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead client development for the Middle East. Make proposals for unique growth client opportunities and shape the approach, in conjunction with the partners and CMO. In support of this, plan for the resources necessary and, in real time, manage adjustments as things evolve and change.
  • Prepare client development materials for business pitching. Collaborate with the proposals team RFP responses for your practices, industries or regions. In doing so, work in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Own the follow up on winloss reporting, including mapping out who we were competing against and what pitch approach was effective.
  • Draft and maintain practicespecific marketing materials that are specific to the region, including collaborating with the U.S. client development, global content and global intelligence teams to facilitate any updates to the experience database.
  • Structure and harness the office, practice and/or industry information flow on client wins you will provide input on clientready matter summaries, select relevant tags and update the database and materials. You will take responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of the set.
  • Bring a creative and critical eye to the effectiveness of all digital channels, collaborating with colleagues on the communications, content, technology and creative teams.
  • Oversee client continuing legal education events, ensuring a strategic approach is taken to invitations, production and follow ups.
  • Stay current on market intelligence, as a tool to support individual pitch efforts and practice area or region strategic projects. Create a point of view on the competitive landscape and act as a resource to practice, industry and office leaders by presenting updates on this as appropriate.
  • Work with the CRM team to ensure high quality client contact data is maintained. Lead efforts to keep partners up to date on when key contacts advance or make changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with driving office or practice client development.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of the client development budget.
  • Experience in strategic business development planning and pitching.
  • Exceptional professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with executives
