What are you accountable for achieving?

  • Cotravel with area managers & distributors during field visits to develop new relationships
  • Initiate, monitor and evaluate product trials and validations together with the area managers & distributors where appropriate
  • Collaborate with area managers when developing tailormade deals to important customers
  • Participation with the Vitrolife Academy skills group and active participation in Vitrolife Academy workshops and events including hands on workshops and seminars
  • Arrange symposiums and workshops within the postholders region to showcase both medical devices and genetic services
  • Collaborate with clinics already using our products and services on troubleshooting to include temperature mapping and pH measurement of key lab equipment and optimising of biopsy and tubing procedures
  • Followup with the commercial team leads for sales in both genetic services and medical devices as required
  • Perform embryo prebiopsy, biopsy, and post
- biopsy services to national and international clinics (select markets only)

  • Provide an appropriate embryological and genetic counselling as well as, feedback and help when needed (select markets only)
  • Coordination of the clinical support team & communication with customers to ensure appropriate cover is in place for all booked biopsy & tubing cases (select markets only)
  • Manage the relationship with the IVF clinics to organize and perform training sessions for the embryologists to be validated in embryo Biopsy & tubing
  • Attend to congresses both locally and internationally to provide clinical and educational support to the Commercial team.

What will you need as a successful International Embryologist?

  • Experience as a lab manager, deputy lab manager or senior embryologist
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biomedicine, genetics, or master's degree in Reproductive science
  • Formal certification/registration as an embryologist (desirable)
  • A PhD or other higher specialist qualification relevant to either reproductive medicine or genetics (desirable)
  • Experience performing embryo biopsy & tubing (selected markets only)
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspect's clinical embryology, quality management and troubleshooting in the IVF laboratory
  • The ability to work independently and plan and prioritise workloads around international travel and customer needs
