About the role
Brief description
The position of Supply Chain Manager at FMCG sector consists of planning, organizing and carrying out large-scale projects.
In this position, you will review data and enact a plan in order to make improvements to the supply chain system and perform other relevant tasks pertaining to this position.
Tasks
- Improve the Supply Chain Department's overall performance by examining current practices and procedures;
- Create efficient databases manage and arrange the inventory;
- Train and instruct supply chain team members;
- Maintain cordial and professional relationships with vendors while advancing the goals and values of the company;
- Find and investigate the least expensive shipping methods;
- Maintain a thorough record of the available inventory and expected utilization for each project to organize and manage the inventory;
- Research potential partners' companies and try to negotiate bestprice contracts in order to improve business revenue;
- Plan and execute supply chain optimization projects.
- Lead the entire order cycle from order placement to delivery
- Coordinate with distributor order cycle routines to ensure stock availability
- Process and track orders, ensuring order accuracy, ontime delivery, and resolution of any orderrelated issues or discrepancies
- Provide onground support to the distributor and commercial team
- Develop deep crossfunctional teamwork, both internal and external, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals and enhance the customer experience
- Support in demand drivers and data visibility
- Identify and propose actions required to handle slowmoving or obsolete stock to eliminate expiry risk and optimize inventory level
- Collaborate with demand planners and commercial team to build the most accurate sales forecast
- Responsible for providing effective stock and inventory management
- Together with the demand planning team, analyze demand patterns, sales forecast, and inventory data to settle optimal stock level for each product, ensuring adequate stock cover while minimizing excess inventory
- Lead process improvements:
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, identifying areas for enhancement, automation, and efficiency gains to streamline operations and reduce cost
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management, operations, logistics, or a similar field; Master's degree preferred;
- 3+ years' experience as a manager, supervisor, or similar relevant position in supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to lead and manage crossfunctional teams.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and decisionmaking skills.
