InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars.

With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five star presence.

As a Reservation Agent, you will serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations within the hotel.

A Reservation Agent is responsible for offering excellent customer service, options, and other solutions to meet Guest and customer needs.

Specifically, a Reservations Agent will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

Your role will be including but not limited to,

  • Assist guests in making reservations, taking into account their preferences and special requests.
  • Process reservation requests promptly and accurately, entering details into the hotel's reservation system.
  • Confirm reservations with guests and provide them with booking confirmation numbers.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of room types, rates, and promotional offers to effectively upsell and maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs and preferences are met, including special requests and room assignments.
  • Handle reservation modifications and cancellations according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate reports and maintain accurate records of reservation transactions and guest interactions.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining the hotels brand standards.
Ideally, you'll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we're looking for,

  • Previous experience in a reservation or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and reservation software, with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of OPERA system is preferred.
