  • Identifies and discussesthe objectives and approach of the proposed audit effort with TeamLeader / Department Manager asdirected.
  • Participates in the planning of theassigned audits approach and scope and prepares the Audit Programand / or Risk and Control Matrix (RACM), whenrequired.
  • Determines auditing procedures to beapplied, including the use of Information Systems Audit Techniques,statistical sampling method orothers.
  • Identifies high risk areas and keycontrol points of the system to bereviewed.
  • Evaluates the system'seffectiveness based on his / her business and audit experience andmodifies, if necessary, the scope of the review, with the approvalof Team Leader / Department Manager.
  • Supervisesaudits in accordance with the approved RACM and professionalstandards on internal auditing.
  • Preparesworking papers, which record and summarize data on the assignedaudit segment and the results of theaudit.
  • Ensures tasks assigned to junior staffare adequately performed and deliverables are in accordance withA&AF quality standards.
  • Ensures thatapproved audit objectives have been met with adequate coverage ofall relevant areas. Also ensures that sufficient appropriate auditevidence is obtained to support the conclusion and recommendations,and that the work has been performed in accordance withprofessional audit standards.
  • Obtains andreviews audit evidence as the basis for an informed, objectiveconclusion on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controlssystem over the activities beingreviewed.
  • Recommends improvements in managementcontrols designed to mitigate business risks, safeguard companyassets and contribute to growth and improve profitability/economies.
  • Prepares audit report withconclusion, expressing professional opinions on the adequacy andeffectiveness of risk management, control systems and theefficiency with which activities are carried out. Recommendsimprovement options to rectify reported deficiencies, for TeamLeader / Department Manager'sreview.
  • Subsequently, review the adequacy ofthe corrective actions taken on audit recommendations / improvementoptions.
  • Performs ad-hoc and special reviewsand administrative duties as directed by A&AFManagement.
  • Participates in the process ofhiring, training and development of audit staff and UAE Nationalgraduates.
  • Ensures implementation of approvedaudit methodology as defined in IA ProcedureManual.
  • Implements plan for promoting awarenesswithin the company on procedure to report unethicalacts.
  • Liaises with Auditees to ensure smoothconduct of audit.
  • Reviews customer feedback andhighlights areas of improvement.
  • Prepares andsubmits IAD ADP monthly / quarterly / annual progress reports toVP-A&AF covering various areas including implementationstatus of Audit Plan, budget performance, auditrecommendation's implementation status, department KPIstatus, areas of concerns requiring VP-A&AF / seniorManagement's attention etc.
  • Ensuresthat A&AF practices are aligned with the requirements ofIIA standards and other regulatory bodies (ADAA, ADSIC etc.) aswell as with ADNOC's auditmethodology.

Audit ManagementSystem (AMS) andReports

Ensures effective andefficient utilization of AMS. Oversees the completion of all auditsin the AMS, reviews & sign-offs all engagement workingpapers in the system. Ensures that all Departmental progressreports are prepared to provide accurate and timely reports andnecessary information to Company Management, Board of Directors,Audit Committee, Board Advisory Committee and other shareholderrepresentatives to effectively manage thebusiness

QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE &SKILLS

MinimumQualification

  • Bachelors' Degree inManagement, Business, or equivalentdisciplines.
  • Master's degree inAccounting, Risk Management, Strategic Management, or BusinessAdministration is preferred.

Minimum Experience& Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years of experiencein audit, assurance, or compliancedesignations.
  • Strong auditing skills inreviewing deficiencies and persuasion in recommending correctiveactions. High level of proficiency in English; working knowledge ofArabic desirable.

ProfessionalCertifications

  • Professional certification(s) such asACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE.
  • Certified ISO9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor ispreferred.
