Dubai Holding is looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Litigation reporting to the Executive Director - Litigation. The job holder is responsible for supporting the litigation function by drafting legal notices, reviewing statement of claims, drafting settlements, issuing letters for governmental authorities, assisting the business unit for all legal queries and requirements, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures and policies.

Key Accountabilities:

Case Management

  • Assist in maintaining and updating records of all civil and real estate cases, ensuring each case file is comprehensive and current.
  • Follow up on case progress, deadlines, and key milestones to ensure effective case management.
  • Support the preparation of legal documents, evidence, and arguments to strengthen the company's position in ongoing litigation.
  • Assist in representing the company in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and ensure legal arguments are well-founded.
  • Ensure professional and effective presentation of the company's position in all legal forums under the guidance of senior legal staff.
  • Reviewing the external law firm's submissions for the cases.
  • Drafting legal notices, reviewing statement of claims, drafting settlements, issuing letters for governmental authorities

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and present monthly reports on the status of litigation matters, including progress updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for action.
  • Organize and manage all legal documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and securely stored.
  • Implement efficient document control procedures to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Who we are looking for:

Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Education / Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, honours or master's level preferred; and any other professional qualifications relevant to legal practice would be considered favourable.
  • Qualified to practice law in an OECD country

Technical Competencies:

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Organization skills
  • Negotiation & Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
