Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to established procedures and standards.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and steam presses, ensuring proper functioning and safety at all times.
  • Handle laundry chemicals and detergents safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • Inspect laundry items for stains, damages, or special care instructions and handle them accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laundry area, including keeping work surfaces, machines, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Fold and package clean laundry items neatly and accurately, ready for delivery or storage.
  • Assist with the collection and delivery of laundry items to and from guest rooms or designated areas.
  • Handle guests laundry requests promptly and courteously, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic laundry environment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance staff.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and provide assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting, is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain highquality standards in laundry processing.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry bags or bins.
  • Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and detergents and their safe handling practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
