Due to the nature of the development programme our client is looking for a Chief Development Officer with significant experience across residential and hospitality assets that can support the business from strategy, feasibility then through design and delivery. The role will be critical in maximising ROI and further expanding the portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's residential development strategy in alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Lead all phases of residential development projects, from site acquisition and design to entitlements, construction, and delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints and meet financial targets.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the residential development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify residential development opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with residential development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Uphold high standards of quality and excellence in residential design, construction, and finishes to enhance the company's reputation and brand.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in residential development to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, financial analyses, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders to provide updates on project status and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience of full cycle development within the GCC
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in residential real estate development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering residential projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, financial forecasts, and investment analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics, regulations, and zoning laws related to residential development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
