Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and productivity.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Develop new menu items and innovate culinary techniques to enhance guest experiences.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of all food items.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Monitor food costs and control waste to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the frontofhouse team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new kitchen staff.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a highend hotel or luxury restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creating highquality dishes.
  • Knowledge of current food trends and a willingness to innovate.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
