A start-up Wealth Management and Prime Brokerage/Trading platform based in Abu Dhabi (ADGM) and regulated by FSRA is looking to hire a Head of Operations to lead the full scale development and management of the function.

The platform is offering a multi-asset prime brokerage/execution services as well as asset management products to the professional and institutional clients with particular focus on EM markets.


  • Principal responsibility for the Firm's Operations that includes the full posttrade cycle, custody/safekeeping as well as office management.
  • Manage and develop the team to be adequately resourced and trained so it can adequately support the seamless operating of the firm in the market as well as implementation of the business strategy
  • Provide comprehensive posttrade assistance to the firm's daily engagement with customers and the market that includes trades confirmations, reconciliation (Cash & Securities), settlements as well as custody operations
  • Work alongside sales and traders to fully support execution workflow. Support setting up clients and counterparts within the Firm's ecosystem.
  • Manage office administration and assure uninterrupted functioning of all basic services
- all necessary regulatory requirements. Proactively minimize regulatory and operational risk within full post-trade cycle including custody/safe-keeping.

  • Drive operational excellence and ensure that the respective units operate in accordance with agreedupon KPIs.
  • Develop the customer centric approach that is applied to both external and internal customers. Promote high standards of customer service and engagement
  • Develop and implement related internal related policies, procedures and operational manuals
  • Lead business continuation planning in respect to posttrade services
  • Oversee relationship with all market infrastructure vendors of the firm (Custodians, PB etc). Ensure the firm receives the best possible pricing from market vendors as well as overall high level of service thought out tendering process, continuous evaluation and feedback as well as monitoring of the alternative solutions in the market.
  • Strongly contribute into the firm's infrastructure development including new products.
  • Report to and collaborate with the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) Member of the executive committee of the firm. Proactively contribute to the daytoday management process of the firm in general. Support CEO in effective management of the firm.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of five years of cumulative industry experience, with a minimum of two years specifically in wealth management or brokerage firms
  • Extensive expertise in Fixed Income and Equity settlement cycles, coupled with a strong understanding of other financial products such as FX, Listed derivatives, and Financing
  • Indepth understanding of the operational risk concept and practical experience in managing that within posttrade cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.
  • A background in IT or a comprehensive understanding of IT concepts is highly advantageous.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, along with robust analytical, problemsolving, and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of being handson, detailoriented, and functioning autonomously.
  • Business enabling approach and a strong team player.
  • Willing to work in a startup culture and be integral part of the business development and success.
