DNV's Advisory team provides clients along the maritime value chain with tailored consulting solutions addressing their most relevant business challenges. As part of a global team of technical and management consultants knowing ships, shipping and the management from practical experience, we deliver value to clients facing a combination of commercial, technical and regulatory challenges in the maritime context.

Maritime cluster development is one of the major ambitions of Middle East and top of the agenda:Maritime cluster strategy, business strategy, economic Studies, policy/regulatory advisory.

Maritime decarbonization is the major theme of our global business today: Green ship finance, business strategies and techno-economic studies on alternative fuels/technologies are in high demand. In addition, we support maritime clients on management systems and general business challenges.


Our clients are government Institutions, ship owners & operators, financial institutions, ports, ship yards, maritime technology & fuel suppliers - in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Americas.


We are looking for a Consultant to lead client projects and sales activities as part of our growing Maritime Advisory team (Dubai site).

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage client projects: Understand client context, build key hypotheses, leverage internal and external resources, analyze data and qualitative information, synthesize findings, develop the solution, deliver reports and presentations to the client
  • Support project sales: Initiate meaningful client discussions, identify client needs, lead proposals towards contract signing
  • Build and maintain a productive network, including middle
- and top management of our clients.

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications/experience

  • Master's degree in business/management, Engineering, law, logistics and life sciences (or) Class 1 maritime certificate
  • 37 years of professional experience in maritime, other tech/engineeringfocused or consulting industry; preferably linked to maritime and/or decarbonization
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient oral and written communicator in English

Travel:
Will vary based on client demand. Assumed to be between 20-40%.
