RVPConsultants is seeking a School Counselor for theKnowledge Hub in Dubai. Our Knowledge Hub is an American curriculumonine school accredited by NEASC and licensed by the KHDA. Locatedin Dubai Knowledge Park our Knowledge Hub offers a blended learningmodel serving approximately 200 students in grades K12 supported bysitebased Academic Leads and Learning Coaches. The ideal candidatewill possess extensive experience in supporting students'social emotional and behavioral development along with a strongunderstanding of academic systems and pathways to higher education.This includes the American high school credit system AdvancedPlacement (AP) as well as US and international university entrancerequirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with online School Counselors andother department heads to design and deliver monthly programs thataddress students' socialemotional wellbeing and academicskills both virually and inperson.
  • Facilitatemonthly group sessions on relevant topics and provide individualsupport to students and parents with input from Department LeadsKnowledge Hub Principal and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct child safeguarding professional developmentsessions for faculty and staff.
  • Implement andsupport the Child Safeguarding and Protection policy asnecessary.
  • Develop and maintain resourcesaccessible to students for independent learning.
  • Coordinate transitions for students between academicstages.
  • Connect students with externalresources when needed.
  • Works with studentsfamilies teachers and other school personnel to effectively addresssocial behavioral academic support and personal problems with anemphasis on preventative and developmental counseling that enhancesthe student's overall growth and provides them withimportant life skills.
  • Contribute to thecontinuous improvement of the school's supportprograms.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology orcounseling is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years ofexperience as a counselor in a school setting.
  • Experience with American curriculum particularly HighSchool (creditbased system AP SAT etc.)
  • Familiarity with international university entrancerequirements for students coming from American curriculum highschool into a US university and one or more of the following:Canada UK Europe Australia.
  • Prior experienceand knowledge of a variety of mental health issues.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencysituations professionally.
  • Strongunderstanding of child development and best practices in supportingstudent success.
  • Excellent communicationinterpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in technology tools commonly used ineducational settings.
  • Ability to handleconfidential information with discretion.
