The Finance Manager plays acrucial role in managing the financial activities and ensuring thefinancial health of a FastMoving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company.This position involves overseeing financial planning and analysisbudgeting accounting reporting and risk management. The FinanceManager provides strategic guidance and support to seniormanagement driving financial performance and contributing to thecompanys growth and profitabilityobjectives.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. FinancialPlanning andAnalysis:

    • Develop andmaintain financial models forecasts and budgets to supportstrategic planning anddecisionmaking.
    • Analyze financialperformance variances and trends identifying opportunities for costoptimization revenue enhancement and riskmitigation.
    • Provide insightfulanalysis and recommendations to senior management on key financialmetrics business performance and investmentopportunities.

  2. Budgetingand Forecasting:

    • Lead theannual budgeting process collaborating with department heads todevelop departmental budgets aligned with organizationalgoals.
    • Prepare regular forecasts andfinancial projections monitoring actual performance againstbudgeted targets and identifying deviations for correctiveaction.
    • Assess the financial impactof business initiatives projects and investments evaluating ROI andfinancialfeasibility.

  3. FinancialReporting andCompliance:

    • Overseefinancial accounting and reporting activities ensuring accuracycompleteness and timeliness of financial statements regulatoryfilings and compliancerequirements.
    • Implement and maintaininternal controls and procedures to safeguard company assetsprevent fraud and ensure compliance with accounting standards andregulatory guidelines.
    • Coordinateexternal audits and tax filings liaising with auditors taxauthorities and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and timelyauditprocesses.

  4. CashFlow Management andTreasury:

    • Manage cash flowand liquidity forecasting cash needs optimizing working capital andcoordinating financing activities asneeded.
    • Monitor bankingrelationships negotiate terms and oversee banking transactionsincluding loans credit facilities and foreign exchangetransactions.
    • Implement cashmanagement strategies to maximize returns on idle funds whileminimizing financial risks andexposure.

  5. RiskManagement and InternalControls:

    • Identify andassess financial risks including market risks credit risks andoperational risks developing strategies and controls to mitigateand manage risks effectively.
    • Ensurecompliance with corporate governance principles internal policiesand regulatory requirements related to financial risk managementand internal controls.
    • Providetraining and guidance to finance and accounting staff on riskawareness control procedures and compliancepractices.

QualificationsandSkills:

  • Bachelorsdegree in finance accounting economics or a related field; CPA CFAor MBA qualification ispreferred.
  • Proven experience infinance management roles preferably in the FMCG industry or arelated sector.
  • Indepth knowledge offinancial analysis budgeting forecasting accounting principles andfinancial reportingstandards.
  • Strong analytical skillsand strategic thinking with the ability to interpret financial dataidentify trends and make datadrivenrecommendations.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to presentfinancial information clearly and effectively to diverseaudiences.
  • Proficiency in financialsoftware and ERP systems as well as advanced MS Excelskills.


-Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a relatedfield; CPA, CFA, or MBA qualification is preferred. -Provenexperience in finance management roles, preferably in the FMCGindustry or a related sector. -In-depth knowledge of financialanalysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting principles, andfinancial reporting standards. -Strong analytical skills andstrategic thinking, with the ability to interpret financial data,identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations. -Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to presentfinancial information clearly and effectively to diverseaudiences.
