Ras Al-Khaimah, Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates About the job Purchase Officer - UAE Nationals Job Description Job Title: Purchase Officer Department: Procurement Title of Immediate Supervisor / Manager: Procurement Manager No. of Direct Reports: : 1 JOB PURPOSE The Purpose of this position is responsible to maintain the required documents to issue LPO, GRN, process invoices and overall document process. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Process Purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions and maintain supplier relationships. Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price list. Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine, procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements. Assist in development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased. Administer contact performance, including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages and insurance. Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies. Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation, regulations standards and best practices. Address staffing resource needs and supervise purchasing clerks. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management Maintain a bidders list, vendors file, and such other records as are needed for the efficient operations of purchasing function. Supervise the inspections of all supplies, services and equipments purchased to insure conformance with specifications. Keep informed of current developments in the field of purchasing prices, market conditions and new products. JOB RELATED COMPETENCIES&SPECIFICATIONS SECTION Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, strong leader as well as have Avery good presentation skills. Certified professional purchaser accreditation/business degree and several years experience in a public purchase environment. Maintains confidentiality of purchasing financial information. Ensure compliance with standard practices, regulations, and statutes. He should be expert in computer usage and procurement related software. Knowledge of filing system record keeping.
