MinimumQualifications
- Minimumdiploma / degree of higher education; or
- Related industry qualification of graduatelevel for the assigned functional area(s).
- Certificate of Facilities Management / NEBOSHor IOSH preferable.
MinimumExperience
- At least 3 yearsexperience in a midlevel position within an education or facilitiesserviceoriented industry.

- The incumbent requires to reside in the sameEmirate of the school assigned to.
- Tobe responsible for the delivery of facilities and general servicesacross the school. Delivering a service culture and ensuringefficient effective staff and resource deployment in timely manner.
- To ensure the school facilities are maintainedto the highest standards (cleanliness maintenance and safety) andthat the support service teams are performing effectively andefficiently.
- To oversee the schoolaccommodation requirements ensuring staff are housed in accordancewith school expectations Aldar Education housing policy andallowances.
- To oversee efficient andcosteffective purchasing and contracting in accordance with theschool budget Aldar Education policy and school development plans.
General Operations
- To ensure all repairs andmaintenance at the school including the inspection of requiredrepairs and where necessary the appointment of external serviceproviders in line with Aldar Education HQ guidance and AldarEducation Procurement framework and ensuring agreed works by staffor contractors have been completed satisfactorily and following upon any deficiencies to the initial scope of works.
- To ensure the security and efficient operationof the school site buildings and grounds always in accordance withcurrent Health & Safety guidance ensuring daily checks ofthe site are carried out by the site services team for vandalismand ensuring cleaning standards are acceptable.
- Implementation of issued policies systemsprocesses and student safeguarding measures in conjunction with theAldar Education HQ.
- To ensure schoolbasedevents and activities are effectively planned and resourced in atimely and appropriate manner.
- Ensureessential central services such as catering security maintenancecleaning transport waste disposal and recycling are effectivelyplanned and resourced throughout the year and be the point ofcontact for external services management.
- Support the OSM in utilisation of space andresources for buildings or reorganisation of current premises.
- To ensure daily monitoring of the BMS and BMSalert systems (where installed) are carried out amongst the siteservices team.
- To support the OSM (and GroupHousing Manager) in procuring and maintaining the Aldar Educationstandards of staff accommodation (where required).
- To act as the designated school IncidentCommander and be contactable outside of normal School hoursavailable to attend site when required in line with the AldarEducation Critical Incident Response Protocols.
Leadership &Management
- To ensure theexternal support service teams are performing in line with schoolexpectations fully resourced and delivering on their contractualobligations delivering best value for the school and high standardsof service for the school community.
- Managethe facilities and general service teams to ensure high standardsof service are maintained throughout the school and that theyprovide an effective service culture.
- Ensureeach member of the Facilities & General Services teampartakes in professional development appraisal and training andundergoes an individual development plan to help the school inbuilding a highperformance team.
Finance Commercial& Procurement
- Tooversee relevant budgets and expenditure effectively manage costsand ensure the school always receives best value and service inrelation to facilities and building standards.
- To support opportunities for shared resourcecost and/or services across partner schools to ensure that theschools benefit from improved access to service teams and physicalresources (i.e. support staff transport etc).
- Ensure purchasing policy and the Delegation ofAuthority (DOA) processes and procedures are always followed.
Relationship &Stakeholder Management
- Ensure that schools arefully compliant with local government authority regulations tosafeguard against fines of any nature as a result of nonrenewal ofcontracts at school level.
- Ensure all internaland external audit actions are completed in a timely andappropriate manner.
Health Safety& Environment
- Topromote a positive and proactive health and safety culturethroughout their teams for health and safety.
- To ensure the school complies with currentHealth & Safety legislation and/or guidelines as issued byAldar Education HQ.
- To review and monitor thehealth and safety performance of contractors and suppliers withintheir respective schools.
- To support the OSMwith environmental related aims and objectives and ensuring thatthey are delivered within the required timelines.
- Ensure all internal and external health safetyand environmental related audits are effectively completed in atimely and appropriatemanner.
