Leadingmulti-disciplinary team is looking for an ElectricalDepartment Manager for their Detroitteam



Responsibilities:
  • Managedepartment/work with Project Managers on a variety of projects(Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, PublicSector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutionalprojects)
  • Preparediscipline specific workplans/estimates
  • Overseeproduction of work and ensure projects meet QA/QCstandards
  • Supervisestaff and ensure project meets performance metrics and departmentgoals
  • Clientcommunications to manageexpectations
  • Providetechnicalsupport
  • Maintainbacklogs/manpower forecasts to ensure proper staffinglevels/departmentutilization
  • Manage staffresources (annual reviews, timesheets, expense approvals,professionaldevelopment)
  • Assistwithrecruitment/training
  • Assistwith business development including participation in various tradeorganizations
  • Managemultiple projectssimultaneously


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineeringpreferred
  • 8+years of electrical design/project management consultingexperience
  • PELicensepreferred
  • Experience withelectrical system studies (short circuit, over-current devicecoordination and Arc Flash Hazard analysis per NPFA70E)
  • Experience/knowledgeof National Electrical Code (NEC), StateEnergy Code, NFPA guidelines, and FGIguidelines
  • PELicensepreferred
  • Workingknowledge of design/analysis software (Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAPandEasypower)
  • Knowledgeof standard constructionpractices
