Job Purpose: The ProductionPlanning department at Emirates Engineering plays a pivotal role ingetting all the required maintenance done in the most efficientmanner. Utilizing advanced planning tools in depth technicalreviews and collaborating closely with various teams we ensuresmooth maintenance operations minimizing downtime and maximizingaircraft availability. Our focus is on maintaining high safety andefficiency standards while adapting to the airlines dynamicrequirements.About thisrole: As aProduction Planning Officer you will plan execute and deliver thematerials coordination estimation work pack preparation closure andworkshop planning within the aircraft maintenance organisation. Toist the Production Planning Engineers in the delivery of their roleand support the Production team in the of maintenance. Ensure allactivities are delivered to the highest standards of airworthinesssafety and quality compliance.

Inthis role you will:

  • Providesupervision training and guidance to any reporting team members.
    • Act as deputy for immediate supervisor whenrequired.
    • Participate in projects tocontinuously improve the Production PlanningService.

MaterialsCoOrdination:
  • Review allmaterials requests for the ongoing check to see if there is stockavailable and coordinate delivery based on order priority. Monitorfor duplicate requests and cancel/adjust as required. Determine thebest solution for all materialsshortages.
  • Coordinate with internal andExternal Stakeholders as required to ensure the predraw isdelivered before A/C input including mod kits on the dates agreedwith the production team.
  • Providerecommendations on task withdrawal based on part nonavailabilityand lead times which do not support the checkworkflow.
  • Review all materials requests for theongoing check to see if there is stock available and coordinatedelivery based on order priority. Monitor for duplicate requestsand cancel/adjust as required. Determine the best solution for allmaterials shortages. Coordinate with Material Organization/FTM onPart Basic setup.
  • Coordinate all Ship ShopShip(S/S/S) Tasks 2 and repair orders to ensure they will bereturned to the aircraft in accordance with the required dates perthe workflow plan or substitute parts are sourced.
    • Ensure all S/S/S or tasks 2 parts aredispatched with all required informationlisted.
    • Ensure all relevant stake holders arekept updated on the materials status for the check especially anyitems which may impact on the workflow of theinput.
    • Provide appropriate daily reports to theProduction Planning Engineers and productionteams.
    • Monitor the actual material issues theCheck Budget and provide feedback to the production team onopportunities to reduce the materials cost including working withthe production team to return unusedparts.
    • Coordinate the Robbery activity forigned events ensuring robbery messages are sent and robbed partsare processed through the virtual robbery store to control R Clcosts.
    • Coordinate all materials related closureactions at the end of each inputincluding:
    • DBNU cleanup and feedback to theplanning organisation for future DBNUreduction.
    • Review the materials spend in termsof parts quantity & cost at the end of each input andprovide recommendations on future stock levels contingency sparesorders and unusual orderpatterns.
Workpack Management:
  • Deliverand supervise the check work package preparation and compilationprocess for igned events from handover of a package by CAMO to thehandover of it to the production team. Continuously update the workpack as supplements are added or taskswithdrawn.
  • Conduct technical review of thetasks which could be called up by Maintenance Planning to ensurethe following is identified: task intent special requirements(jacking defueling repairs shop input test flights etc.)dependencies materials required tooling required new supportingtask cards required and any other information which will aid theplanning process. Ensure all issues identified as part of thetechnical review process are followed up with the concerneddepartments and resolved prior to the start of eachinput.
  • Ensure segregation of work packages intoworking zones/trades as per the work flow plan for proper andsmooth of maintenance input prior to each event. Ensure the workpack is displayed in the production area asrequired.
  • Actively work on DBNU reduction forroutine tasks by working with the materials coordinators toidentify route causes and do the necessary adjustment to the sparesset up on the tasks to ensure DBNU is minimized. Adjust MQs in UMto match the daily plan of tasks.
  • Receive andcomplete audit of all paperwork prior to CRS and ensure it conformsto all EPM and quality requirements. Any paperwork failing audit tobe returned to Production for correction and logged for errorreporting.
  • Complete all IT systems transactionsincluding tasks status tracking in the 145 task tracking systemtask card closure and work pack closure in UM. Generate a postcheck completion report and distribute to all relevant parties anddispatch completed work packs to TechnicalRecords.
  • Creation of Maintenance facilitationprocedures/tasks as required to support the planned maintenance.

Workshops:

  • Ensure all the planned workis packaged segregated into daily activities and provided toproduction. Ensure visibility of daily workload progress and updateWO status to indicate shortages ofmaterials/resources.
  • For SSS/Tasks 2 highlightmajor defects and check timelines to the Workshop Engineer througheffective and timely communication.
  • Coordinatethe addition of PNs to the capability list asrequired.
  • Update and publish daily progressreport.
  • Monitor open WOs formanhour/material/work progress and update WO status on a dailybasis.
Estimation:
  • Keep the estimationdatabase up to date with each new task on Emirates fleet brokendown as per task steps trade wise estimated MH with concurrent taskrequirements and access panels.
  • Perform defectysis for completed inputs in terms of NonRoutine estimation takinginto consideration check type aircraft type age and in serviceissues to determine technical impact for futurelayovers.
  • Post each completed input produce themanhour ysis in terms of clocking/ manhourutilization.
  • Review Feedback Discrepancies ofProduction Planning to support teams/departments of EK Engineeringin terms of doentation discrepancies manhours as well as initiatingdevelopmental change in AMM and other manuals of related EKFleet.
  • Highlight first time tasks tasks withhigh tasks & access manhours expected defects fromhistorical trend and other tasks impacting production work flowplan as part of the detailed Estimate Report for every checkinput.
  • Produce a detailed manhours(MH) estimatefor each igned event to support the workflow and manpower planningprocess.

Qualifications &Experience: To be considered for this role you must meet the belowrequirement:

  • Diploma inEngineering or Aircraft Maintenance OR Basic GCAA Licence OR Degreein Engineering Bachelors in Engineering (Aeronautical Mechanical orElectrical)
  • Diploma or Basic GCAA Licence with5 years of experience within Aircraft Maintenance or ProductionPlanning at an Airline or 3rd party Maintenance facility preferablein aircraft scheduling maintenance planning production planningand/or a related environment.
  • Degree inEngineering with 3 years of experience within Aircraft Maintenanceor Production Planning at an Airline or 3rd party Maintenancefacility preferable in aircraft scheduling maintenance planningproduction planning and/or a relatedenvironment.

Youll have anedge if you have:

  • Goodunderstanding of aircraft doentation and records including AircraftMaintenance Manual (AMM) Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) WorkPackages and Maintenance Schedules.
  • Knowledgeof aircraft systems power plant andcomponents.
  • Good knowledge of MS Officeapplications.
  • Knowledge of Ultramainsystem.
  • Familiar with aircraft regulatoryrequirements andlegislation.
