The Team:
TheDubai Corporate team covers a wide range of companies in diversesectors from commodities to realestate consumer goods and chemicalsin the Middle East. We are a dynamic team covering fast movingindustries in growing economies with a focus on providing highquality analysis and excellent client service.
The Impact:
As a Senior Analyst youwill have direct analytical responsibilities for a portfolio ofcorporate credits in the Gulf region. The role involves providinginsightful credit risk analysis through conducting site visitsmeetings with Management Finance and Treasury teams preparing theanalysis and financial modelling and presenting a ratingrecommendation to a credit committee. Finally you will also be ableto deepen your expertise in sustainabilityrelated themes that havebecome a key focus for corporate credit analysis.

Responsibilities:
Issuers: You will be the first and mostimportant contact with the issuer handling the daytoday analyticalrelationship. You will lead the meetings with banks top managementand will prepare the materials incl financial modelling capitalstructure analysis analysis of business model and present to theS&P rating committee that determines the credit ratingoutcome.
Publications: You willpublish high quality and forwardlooking credit reports and researchupdates in case of events. In addition you are expected to authoror coauthor highquality research pieces on the sector and trendsaffecting your issuers.
Outreach: Incoordination with the senior colleagues in Dubai you willparticipate to and at some stage lead our thought leadership andcredit stories via appropriate channels (e.g. publications speechesconference presentations media interviews social media etc.).
People: You are a team playerpromoting a positive team atmosphere as well as analytical andclient service excellence. You will build strong cooperation withcolleagues from different practices notably sovereign and bankswhose business are in the region often intertwined with Corporates.
What Were LookingFor:
An S&P Global employee at thislevel would typically have minimum 5 years of experience incorporate credit analysis in a rating agency a financialinstitution or asset manager and hold a degree in a relevantbusinessrelated field.
Speaking Arabic is a plus.
Applicants must have a strong foundation and workexperience in the following: (1) Accounting; (2) Debt instrumentsand documentation; (3) Building financial forecasting models; or(4) business valuation.
The ability to read understandand analyse IFRS financial statements.
Be able to analyzedebt/instrument documentation and transaction structures ideallysome knowledge of Islamic Finance principles (and sukuksstructures).
Numerate and accurate with figures anddetailorientated with ability to maintain accuracy whilst complyingwith potentially tight deadlines. Develop forecast models based onmacroeconomic and company specific drivers.
Strongorganizational skills and execution mindset.
Strongwritten and oral communication skills in English.
Curiosity and appetite to learn new business models.
