At the heart of every great stay is agreat host. We think the trick to hosting is to take thetime to understand what your guests need and want. So before theyarrive we find out more about them and how we can make their staybetter. Whilst they are with us we give tempting recommendations ofour favourite drinks or food or tips for local experiences thatthey wont find in any guidebook.

Yourday to day

  • Establishes andmaintains contacts within the assigned industry.
  • Active outside facetoface sales callingrequired (minimum 5 sales calls perday).
  • Identifies and analyses competition andtakes appropriate action steps.
  • Follows theestablished Sales and Marketingstrategies.
  • Establishes quarterly action plansfor the handled key prospect and key accounts.
  • Maintains efficient sales office proceduresand ensures the maintenance of accurate and updated account filesand followup procedures.
  • Maintains all salessystems such as sales records and reports conference calendartraces of history and potentials logs of groups not previouslyaccommodated and mailing lists.
  • Ensures theprompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts (i.e.tracing booking contracting communicating with departments andfollowing up with the group for feedback and future bookings).
  • Maintains high visibility in the surroundingcommunity and in the hospitality community as appropriate.
  • Set up appropriate filing systems of existingand potential accounts keeping up to date and properlycategorized.
  • Submit monthly and weekly salesplans as well as daily sales/activity reports which will alsoinclude persons entertained for salespurposes.
  • Professionally represents the hotelin community and industry organizations andevents.
  • Provide feedback and support to alldepartments.
  • Participate as a team player withall departments.
  • Assist with projects andreports.
  • Communication: Must be able to speakread write and understand the primary language(s) used in theworkplace and by guests who frequently visit the workplace.
  • Experience: Previous hotelrelated experiencesales management experience in hotel or serviceindustry.
  • Technological: Must be competent incomputer skills (word processing spreadsheets data base).Background in automated sales office systems is helpful.
  • Should have a track record of successfulcustomer service.

  • Ideally youll have aBachelors degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management (or equivalent)
  • At least two (2) years experiences in asimilar role in a 5 stars hotel. Previous hotel experience ispreferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local businessesand business trends required.
  • Outstandingwritten and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamplayer
