  • Performs all requested CT/MRIexaminations per American Hospital Dubai and Medical ImagingDepartment guidelines.
  • Maintains the dailyoperations of the CT/MRI scanner, patient schedule, equipmentmaintenance, the report of equipment failures, and QualityAssessment (QA).
  • Assists the licensedindependent practitioner in the completion of diagnostic,therapeutic, interventional, and fusion CT/MRIprocedures.
  • Performs CT/MRI procedures, whichinclude instructing and manipulating patients, selectingtechniques, and calibrating equipment, to obtain high-qualityimages.
  • Schedules patients for CT/MRIexaminations if required.
  • Evaluates the natureof critical and emergency procedures and arranges patientpriorities to accommodate them in conjunction with Radiologistinstructions.
  • Works closely with theradiologists to cater for all procedural needs andrequirements
  • Observes all safety measures inthe specialized areas (e.g. Radiation/MRI safetyscreening form).
  • Reviews the requestand previous studies before performing theexamination.
  • Cleans, stocks, and checks theoperation of equipment and accessory devices for safety daily inrostered areas.
  • Cleans and tidies rooms at theend of all shifts.
  • Maintains a high standard ofmedical ethics and is self-motivated to increase the level ofunderstanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and newprocedures as they evolve.
  • Uses cognitiveCT/MRI skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures asappropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic informationand images.
  • Uses independent judgment duringthe CT/MRI exam to accurately differentiate between normal andpathologic findings.
  • Analyses and synthesizesCT/MRI information and medical history and communicates findings tothe appropriate physician.
  • Coordinates workschedule with the Team Lead and schedules desk to ensure workloadcoverage.
  • Assumes responsibility for thesafety, and mental and physical comfort of patients while they arein the CT/MRI environment care.
  • Establishes andmaintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with allinterrelating hospitals, andreferrals.
  • Coordinates with other staff toensure appropriate patient care isprovided.
  • Addresses problems of patient care asthey arise and makes decisions to appropriately resolve theproblems.
  • Organizes daily work schedule andperforms related clerical duties asrequired.
  • Reports equipment failures to theappropriate Team Lead or staff member.
