About the Role

As a Radiation Therapist at Health ECareers, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiation oncology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Radiation Equipment: Safely and effectively operate all CT/SIM and treatment equipment, including linear accelerators and high dose rate after loading machines.
  • Perform Morning Check and Warm-Up: Conduct thorough morning checks and warm-ups of CT/SIM and/or accelerators to ensure optimal performance.
  • Treat Patients: Treat patients with prescribed modes, energies, doses, and monitor units/treatment times as prescribed by a physician.
  • Prepare Patient Treatment Charts: Prepare patient treatment charts and maintain accurate records of patient treatments.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with team members to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Protect patients, staff, visitors, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure or injury.
  • Adhere to Infection Control Practices: Prevent the transmission of infectious diseases through adherence to infection control practices.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain good verbal and written communication skills and work collaboratively with all staff members.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Exhibit excellent customer service skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience: One year of recent experience (within the past three years) using various radiation therapy equipment.
  • Qualifications: Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiation Therapy Technologist from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Additional Requirements: Excellent customer service skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
