What You WillDo

  • Effectively lead, mentor, supervise,coach, and develop hourly employees utilizing the Principled BasedManagement process and Operations Excellence tools to improvecapability and performance
  • Lead and foster anenvironment that develops principled business owners in anOwnership Based Work System who can identify learning/developmentsolutions and optimize equipment
  • Leaddevelopment and implementation of Performance, Skills, andQualifications capability. Also address performance gaps for MasterTechs and Technicians against individual capability and performancemeasurements across the work platform
  • Be theleader in advancing individual capability through strategiccoaching and creative training materials andprocedures
  • Ensure that individual roles,responsibilities, and expectations (RR&E’s) arealigned with department, mill, and organizational goals to assuremaximizing real long-term value for thecompany
  • Hold team and individuals accountablefor operating strategies and results
  • Developprocesses and systems which promote the transferring of knowledgeto all team members
  • Collaborate withmaintenance, engineering, the Tissue mill and Logistics departmentteam members, and other salaried leaders within the mill to assuremaster tech/technician performance gaps are identified andaddressed

Who You Are (BasicQualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree orhigher, OR five (5) years of paper manufacturing experience, OR ten(10) or more years of experience leading groups in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Experience working in a continuousmanufacturing environment
  • Two (2) or more yearsof experience leading and holding others accountable in a workingenvironment and to assess, support and improve performance gapsagainst individual skill capabilities

What Will Put YouAhead

  • Ten(10) or more years of manufacturingexperience
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisoryexperience with responsibility for direct reports in an industrialenvironment.
  • Experience leading a trainingorganization in an industrialenvironment
  • Experience in paper Convertingoperations
  • Experience working in a unionmanufacturing environment
  • Experience applyingfinancial and statistical skills within a manufacturingoperation
