LINQM is looking for an Accounts Payable
This position provides Accounts Payable (AP) support forStudent Housing and Central R&DE ; Key deliverables includeinvoice processing (approximately 8,000/annually), moderatelycomplex AP accounting (accruals, jes, compliance, investigatorywork), supplier account reviews/audits, aging/spend analytics andexpenditure The AP Specialist is also active in the month-end,quarter-end and year-end close processes by providing key reportsand analytics to business partners across R&; This positionwill also be active in developing new reports for R&DE inOracle Business Intelligence (OBI) to support the accounting needsof Finance and ;
CORE DUTIES(*):
Processapproximately 11K/year non-project AP transactions for StudentHousing and Central R&DE Administration; prioritize invoicesaccording to cash discount potential and payment
Extractand compile accrual reports, aging reports, on-hold reports, andother analyses for distribution to finance partners during
Process all time-sensitive wires, will-calls and
Manage petty cash at the R&DE Porter facility andperform monthly
Prepare and submit journals for centraladministrative
Perform routine analysis of supplieraccounts to assess
Extract Purchase Card (PCARD) andTravel Card (TCARD) reports to assess back-log and preemptsubmission ;
Assist operators/finance in collecting dataanalytics focused on food spend, utility costs, location specificspending and other metrics that drive business
Reconcilesupplier statements, research and correct discrepancies; respond toall supplier inquiries; generate reports for analyzingdiscrepancies to ensure accuracy of AP
Identifycontinuous improvement opportunities (, with feeders, automation)by collecting and analyzing payment
Providecross-functional back-up to Dining/Hospitality
Review,process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documentsfor completeness, accuracy, and
Identify and resolveincorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations fromestablished procedures, and unusual Collect data and performresearch on details of
Reconcile reports and financialdata with financial Run and review basic financial systems reports;assist in preparation of management information
Identify,prioritize, and resolve financial issues; probe beyond statedsituation; identify underlying issues; recognize exceptions;perform preliminary
Recommend, assist, test, or implementprocess streamlining, system improvements or work flow changes;participate as a project team
Serve as a liaison to otherdepartments to resolve accounting-related

Requirements:
Associate degree plus twoyears of applicable experience, or combination of education andrelevant work ; Knowledge, Skills andAbilities:
Proficiency in basic business applications,such as Microsoft Office; user knowledge of
Basicknowledge of accounting systems and the internet; computer ; Oracleexperience
Knowledge of AP/general accounting, closeprocesses and electronic processing
Understanding of andability to apply accounting skills and
Ability to draftprofessional e-mails, memos, business letters, and reports, and toclearly and effectively communicate information to internalaudiences and client
Ability to learn project managementskills and to participate as part of a project
Ability tointerpret contracts and other supporting information on
Ability to independently resolve moderately complex APaccount
