We are seeking a skilled and experienced **System Administrator** to join our dynamic team in Dubai.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Server Management**:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows servers.
- Install, configure, and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware Esxi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Design, deploy, and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments using VMware Horizon for efficient desktop delivery and management.
- Configure and manage Horizon Connection Servers, Composer Servers, and other components of the VMware Horizon suite.
- Implement and manage hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based resources.
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for efficient software deployment, updates, and inventory management.
- Manage storage solutions including HPE MSA (Modular Smart Array), tape drives, and ensure optimal performance, capacity planning, and data integrity.
- **Network Administration**:
- Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
- **User Account Management**:
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts across various platforms.
- Expertise in Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPO) to maintain a secure and organized Windows environment.
- Familiarity with CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks for security compliance and best practices implementation.
- **Backup and Recovery**:
- Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular backups, perform test restores, and ensure data integrity.
- **Security and Patch Management**:
- Implement security policies and protocols to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- **Monitoring and Troubleshooting**:
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to proactively identify and address issues.
- Investigate and resolve technical incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- **Documentation**:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.
**Required Qualifications**
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
**Experience**
- Proven experience as a System Administrator in a mixed Linux and Windows environment.
- Minimum of 5 Years of hands-on experience in Linux and Windows server administration and VMware Horizon.
- Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing virtual desktop environments using VMware Horizon.
- Expertise in SCCM, MSA, tape drives, AD, and GPO.
- Strong knowledge of CIS benchmarks and experience implementing security best practices.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for automation and task simplification.
- Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Backup Exec).
**Certifications**
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
- Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)
- CompTIA Security+
**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in Linux server administration (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and Windows Server.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
**Soft Skills**
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
**Additional Requirements**

- Availability for on-call support and occasional after-hours maintenance tasks.
**Salary**: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
