Roles and responsibilities

You will be a part of a dynamic team that supports the business in Careem on planning topics. The role will require complete involvement in budgeting and target setting, and in directly managing the financial and operational data layer for the team. This role is accountable for Corporate Development, Investor Relations and Fundraising for Careem.What You'll DoCorporate Development:

Undertake research and due diligence on potential investmentsSupport the investment process from identification to closureSupport with post-deal integration and/or portfolio managementResponsible for risk monitoring and red flag reporting across investmentsProvide insights on local and global market activityInvestor Relations

Provide support with all investor communication materials and documents, including presentations, quarterly and monthly reports, information memos, etc.Assist with fundraising process and development of investor roadshowsAnalyze and present financial and operational trends, competitive environment, and anything else that could impact the businessWhat You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Finance, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, or a related disciplineWillingness and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders within CareemAbility to understand multiple sectors, businesses, and functionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDesired candidate profileStrategic and Analytical SkillsMarket Analysis : Understanding market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics.Financial Analysis : Building and analyzing financial models, valuations, and investment cases.Strategic Planning : Identifying growth opportunities and creating actionable strategies.Project ManagementDeal Execution : Managing the M&A process, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.Cross-Functional Coordination : Working with legal, finance, operations, and other departments.Timeline and Budget Management : Ensuring initiatives are completed on schedule and within budget.Negotiation and CommunicationNegotiation Skills : Structuring deals, resolving conflicts, and securing favorable terms.Stakeholder Management : Engaging and aligning with internal and external parties.Presentation Skills : Crafting and delivering compelling business cases to executives and boards.Technical and Industry KnowledgeM&A Knowledge : Familiarity with the entire lifecycle of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.Regulatory Awareness : Understanding compliance requirements and legal frameworks.Industry Expertise : Deep knowledge of the specific sector in which the company operates.Soft SkillsLeadership : Driving initiatives and inspiring cross-functional teams.Problem-Solving : Identifying challenges and developing creative solutions.Adaptability : Navigating complex and rapidly changing environments.
