I&D brings together a diversemix of Innovation Consultants Strategic Designers Product Managersand Tech specialists to ensure that we are supporting our clientsthroughout their digital transformation and innovation journey.Together we create bold new ventures radically improve customerexperiences driving commercial growth

with ourclients by embracing digital innovation and new ways ofworking.

Common stages of workinclude:

  • Discovery: Help clients understand the business user andtechnology landscape. Identify priorities and assess risks togenerate a transformative pathforward.
  • Ideation: Usedesign principles to guide ideation continue to refine prioritiesand focus on highest potentialopportunities.
  • Design andValidate: Create concept experiences and valuepropositions for products/services based on deep user ethnographyto bring an idea to life whilst also testing customer desirabilitycommercial viability and techfeasibility.
  • Create andLaunch: Build experiences products services and launchfullscale new businesses/businessmodels
  • Scale: Drivecommercial growth of the corporate startup product orservice.

Working within I&D as adesigner provides an unparalleled opportunity to work on bigimpactful challenges for leading brands and businesses and toexperience and learn in multidisciplinary teams working alongsidemanagement consultants data scientists and engineers on multipledifferent types of projects and industries.

Strategic Designers are experts in discovering and defining theright opportunities for users and businesses. They apply DesignThinking processes to reframe business and organizational problemsaround the collective needs of users. Strategic Designers bringdeep expertise in design research and concepts translating insightsinto innovation and business growthopportunities.

WHAT YOULLDO

  • Lead the fullstrategic design process hands on to transform customer insightsinto impactful opportunities forgrowth
    • Lead qualitative research andsynthesize learnings from both qualitative and quantitative sourcesinto actionable insights and tangible artifacts (e.g. personascustomer journey maps opportunity maps)
    • Cofacilitate ideation workshops and creativesessions
    • Envision and conceptualize newbusiness ideas and services with gamechanging potential and bringthem to life through creative storytelling
    • Iteratively design and refine solutions through low to highfidelityprototyping
    • Design and run experiments andpilots to validate/evaluate new products services orbusinesses
  • Workclosely with project management to support crossfunctional processmanagement and project delivery and ensure that I&Ddelivers successfully
    • Help ensurethat I&D is successful at delivering high impactresults
    • Own an endtoend deliverable and workwith the supervisor to drive workstream success; help identifyprioritize and execute on highest value addactivities
    • Consistently help build alignmenton project priorities and backlog; enable seamless relationshipwith multidisciplinary project team e.g. management consultantsdata scientists engineers etc.
    • Effectivelycollaborate with cocreate with and influence multiple stakeholders(project team client team experts outsidepartners)
  • Helpto bring Bain to the next level as abusiness
    • Enhance I&D brandthrough support of external marketingactivities
    • Play an active role in therecruitment of new design talent across EMEA and in our growingteam in Dubai in particular
    • Build theI&D knowledge base by capturing learnings from clientengagements
    • Teach and transfer knowledgeexpertise and capabilities to Bain teams and clientteams
    • Serve as a mentor and coach for morejunior members of the (design) team
    • Contributeto I&D culture creation and take on team office or firminitiatives as part of the EMEA I&Dteam

ABOUT YOU

  • 23 years ofhandson experience shaping digital products services and/or newventures (or equivalent experience) in roles such as ServiceDesigner Value Proposition/ Business Designer or CX Designeretc.
  • A thorough understanding of DesignThinking and Agile methods
  • Skillset expertisefocused on strategic design research UX UX/UI service design ordigital product design
  • Comfort with andpassion for all parts of the design process from earlystageinsights gathering to strategy definition concepting andprototyping
  • Fluency in working with state ofcollaboration and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma Miro Webflow AdobeCS) exposure to GenAI Design tools
  • Excellentcommunication presentation and collaborationskills
  • A highly ambitious and entrepreneurialspirit with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fastpacedenvironment comfortable with ambiguity
  • Thisrole requires some travel in region up to 40% travel to clientsacross Middle East/ EMEA
  • Fluency in Arabic andEnglish is a mandatoryrequirement

An idealcandidate will also have:

  • Experience working on Middle Eastbased projects and a goodunderstanding of cultural design norms in theregion
  • Experience working in a client servicesenvironment
  • An understanding of businessstrategy
  • Passion for about expanding ServiceDesign practice and emerging industry trends e.g. GenAI behaviouraldesign immersive experience etc.
