Manager - Finance Operations and Procurement - Abu DhabiSchool of Management

The ManagerFinance Operations & Procurement is a key role responsiblefor overseeing finance accounting and procurement at ADSM. Thisposition requires comprehensive understanding of financialmanagement and accounting practices to ensure optimal resourceallocation within approved budgets costefficiency and regulatorycompliance
Responsibilities- oCollaborate with senior management to develop financial plansforecasts and budgets that support organizational goals andobjectives.
o Conduct financial analysis and performanceevaluation to identify opportunities for cost savings revenuegeneration and operational efficiency
o Monitor financialmetrics and key performances and indicators providing regularreports and insights to stakeholders - o Oversee accounting functions includingaccounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and financialreporting
o Ensure timely and accurate recording offinancial transactions reconciliation of accounts and preparationof financial statements in compliance with accounting standards andregulations
o Coordinate external audits and tax filingsaddressing any audit findings or compliance issues asneeded
o Ensure timely renewals of the organizationslicenses complying to the regulatory needs - oDevelop and manage budgets for procurement finance and accountingdepartments tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence tobudgetary allocations.
o Implement cost control measuresand expense management strategies to optimize resource utilizationand mitigate financial risks. - oDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned withorganizational objectives budgetary constraints and operationalneeds.
o Lead procurement planning and executionincluding sourcing suppliers evaluating bids negotiating contractsand managing vendor relationships.
o Ensure procurementpractices adhere to established policies procedures and regulatoryrequirements. - o Assess and mitigatefinancial and operational risks associated with procurementactivities financial transactions and regulatorycompliance
o Ensure compliance with applicable lawsregulations and accounting standards governing procurement financeand accounting practices
o Implement internal controlsand procedures to safeguard assets prevent fraud and maintain dataintegrity
o Create Update and Maintain the Risk Registeras required by the management
- Provenexperience in a higher education environment involving financeaccounting and procurement with a strong understanding of theirinterrelationships.
- Excellentleadership communication and interpersonal skills with the abilityto collaborate effectively acrossdepartments.
- Advanced analytical andproblemsolving abilities with proficiency in financial modelingdata analysis and decision supporttools
- Thorough knowledge of procurementprinciples financial concepts and accounting practices as well asregulatory requirements and industry bestpractices
- Proficiency in financial managementsoftware (e.g. ERP systems) Microsoft Excel and other relevanttools
