For our office in Dubai – Jebel Ali, we are looking for a: Managing Director, Middle East Area Job Dimension Leading a team of approximately 40 FTE. Functions included: Sales, Sales engineering/application, Service, Order Management & Logistics, HR, Finance and QHSE. Acting as Business partner to our Distributors in EMEAR. Job summary Managing the Rolls-Royce Solutions Middle East subsidiary in accordance with the local regulations and the RRPS (Rolls-Royce Power Systems) group by-laws. Lead and develop the total P&L for the Middle East business and ensure profitable growth to generate a higher value for the RRPS Group. Develop Ensure a fully compliant, appropriate business operating platform for RRPS and its different businesses to operate in the Middle East region in close cooperation with the middle east distributors. Define and implement a regional strategy and steer the business in the primary leadership function in the region. Key accountabilities Business and Customers
  • Development and execution of regional business strategies in the region Middle East in full alignment with Business Units of Rolls-Royce Power Systems.
  • Guide, coordinate and develop distributors in EMEAR for OE and service business.
  • Evaluate and support development of Middle East LLC own distribution business.
  • Deliver sustainable growth, revenue, cost containment, profit margins, order execution in intake and delivery and manage and drive the financial planning, budget, and results of RRS Middle East.
  • Continuously evaluate changing customer requirements, develop, and adjust the regional organization and product portfolio in alignment with Business Units.
  • Represent Rolls-Royce Power Systems in the country and build strong relations with existing and new customers, relevant public authorities
  • Ensure proper risk management, and business continuity planning and mitigation management.
  • Drive effectiveness and efficiency introduce “best practices”, initiate, and oversee business improvement programs, with support from the RRPS stakeholders. Leading and developing people
    • Lead, align and engage the leadership and workforce in the company.
    • Ensure appropriate staffing and competence levels as well as development opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development and promotion of talents and enable a robust succession pipeline for management positions at various levels, including encouragement to move talents within RRPS. Role Modelling & Compliance
      • Leading and developing people according to our code of conduct and our core values and behaviours.
      • Assure the implementation and full compliance to corporate governance, QHSE & other corporate policies in the company and towards local partners and suppliers.
      • Act as a role model for HSE, compliance and awareness in the company.
      • Promote and drive a transparent, customer oriented and collaborative culture within the company as well as towards other stakeholders in RRPS. Qualifications
        • Successfully completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related area.
        • At least 10 years of professional experience in the propulsion, marine, Powergen or energy industry at director or senior leadership role with working experience in distribution network.
        • Previous P&L responsibility and proven ability to deliver quality results, even under tight timelines or resource constraints.
        • Ability to lead and define priorities for a cross functional team, commercial acumen, and analytical skills.
        • Structured, results-driven, and solution-oriented mindset with a “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
        • Ability to take bold decisions, embracing accountability, build trust, good listening skills and a collaborative approach.
        • Able to navigate and operate smoothly in a matrix and build network towards different functions and areas in the RRPS group. What we offer
