Job Title Head of Corporate Banking Group

Description

Leading Banking organisation seeks SVP level Banker for their Corporate Banking Group. Due to expansion and a recent structural change, this is a new position requiring a dedicated and experienced Head, to oversee the development of the strategic business and marketing plan ensuring business growth on an on-going basis
Reporting directly to the Group Head, Commercial Banking you will accept responsibility for managing the corporate teams ensuring continuous management of credit risk, achieving set goals & objectives and maximization of profitability
Main accountabilities will include:
Planning & Business Development. To develop strategic marketing & business development plan for corporate team(s) aligned to Senior Management strategy / guidelines for enhancement of business & profitability
Credit Risk Management. To advise corporate relationship team(s) for close monitoring of risk assets in line with standard banking practices and bank's policy to ensure good health of the entire credit portfolio
Leadership. Provide strategic and operational guidance to corporate team(s) to achieve business goals and sustainable credit risk portfolio monitoring & management. Ensure that corporate team(s) develops a cross selling and mutual support culture and maintain a high standard of customers services
Administration & Controls. To supervise implementation of bank's policy / procedures & ensure development of skills & knowledge of staff through fulfillment of their training needs. To propose strategic moves to management

Job Skills
A minimum of 10 years corporate banking with significant recent management experience
Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognised institution. Post-Graduate qualification/MBA preferred
Superior knowledge of banking operations and branch network processes
Sound knowledge of credit appraisal techniques
Strong capability to interpret financial statements
Good knowledge about various cash and non-cash banking products related to financing for working capital, projects and fixed assets, imports, exports, guarantees and foreign exchange risk hedging etc
Good knowledge about modus operandi and documentation for all types of credit facilities and accounts' juridical matters
Excellent inter-personal relationship skills
Exceptional Leadership skills
Fluent English and Arabic a definite advantage
Self-motivated and proactive
