Due to a forecasted increase in a portfolio of projects, we are seeking an experienced Economist, operating regionally to support the delivery of viable development projects. We strive for individuals who can make a difference to the way we do things by providing project management, business development and people management.

As a Senior Economist, you will be working in an advisory capacity that forms an integral part of the overall strategic consulting team, delivering specialist inputs in support of major development and infrastructure projects across the MENA region. The opportunity will allow you to work with internal and external clients, to provide additional and strategic level value-added services, helping to improve their investment decisions, unlock value, and improve their business processes.

You will work closely with all infrastructure sectors and have undertaken studies across the urban development, built environment, healthcare, master planning, transportation, and water sectors.

You will be responsible for market analysis, macro-economic profiling, demand assessments, benchmarking studies, economic master plans, business planning, financial and economic appraisal, social and sustainability impact assessments, value-for-money analysis, feasibility, and business case development to inform decision making at all levels: policy, plans and projects.

It's a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your assertiveness and willingness to take the initiative and drive projects forward proactively and presents possible solutions to more senior staff.
Here's What You'll Need:

As a successful candidate you will have a bachelor's degree (or higher), with a numeric focus preferably in economics, finance, property or one of the engineering sector domains. You will have a working knowledge of social value principles, the OECD Inclusive Growth Initiative, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and other legislation and initiatives relevant to social value and inclusive growth. Working knowledge of natural capital principles is a plus.

You will be able to demonstrate a portfolio of successful projects and be in a favorable position if you have experience with public private partnerships projects and regional master plans with consultancy experience (preferably in the Middle East).
