Job Description

Lifting Engineer.

Responsible to carry out all aspects of rigging and lifting services and must have good and proven experience in the supervision of safe operation of lifting equipment and heavy critical lifting in live plant areas within LNG installation or Petrochemical industries. Develop and submit complete lift plans for all Heavy lifts to the HSE and other concerned departments before any lifting operation. These plans consists of but not limited to the following Site Drawings, Qualifications, Certifications, Lift Criteria, Lift plan documents, Crane lift worksheets, Crane Safety Checklists, Outrigger Blocking Selections and area compaction test date.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for managing day to day lifting operations for the project.
  • Plan, organize, supervise and liaise closely with sub-contractors and operation teams on all ongoing lifting activities
  • Writing of Method Statement and Risk Assessment for all lifting activities.
  • Prepare of lifting plans and lifting permits.
  • To coordinate and oversee all lifting operation within the work site ensuring compliance with WSH Regulations & project's HSE procedures.
  • To conduct & record daily briefing with the hoisting crew (include the operators)
  • To verify all lifting plans to ensure lifting operation will be carried out safely
  • Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities' and client's requirements

You Bring (qualifications & Experience)

  • Diploma or Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years site experience.
  • Preferably possesses appropriate vocational qualifications such as Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisor.
