A Gym Supervisor is responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while promoting the facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.



What will I be doing

As a Gym Supervisor, you are responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Gym Supervisor will also be required to schedule adequate staff coverage. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

üEnsure that all customers attending the fitness gym adopt safe and effective practices.

üBe aware of and adhere to hotel's Health and Safety Policy.

üRegularly monitor all customers involved in fitness activities, evaluating their progress towards agreed targets and providing encouragement/motivation.

üInstruct and supervise guests in the correct use of fitness equipment.

üCarry out fitness appraisals and prepare individual exercise programs as required.

üCarry out cleaning duties where required to maintain high levels of cleanliness and presentation of all fitness and associated areas, at all times.

üEnsure all equipment is kept fully maintained, reporting faults/damage immediately.

Ensure any portable equipment is kept in a secure environment.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company:

üAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

üAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Knowledge of proper use of equipment.
