Above all, we recruit skills and personalities, and diversity within our teams is key because it is a source of innovation and performance.Make an impact, join Europ AssistanceThis position reports directly to theEuro pAssistance Middle East ( EA ME) Compliance Officer and plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining a strong compliance culture within EA ME, specifically the branch operating within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).Main Responsibilities:Compliance Culture and Risk ManagementPromote a robust compliance culture throughout the organization.Proactively manage compliance activities, identifying and assessing compliance risks associated with business activities, particularly regarding DIFC regulations and statutory requirements.Conduct regular and comprehensive compliance risk assessments and implement controls according to the approved compliance review plan.Report regularly on compliance matters, identified breaches, and corrective actions taken to management.Participate in performing regular and comprehensive compliance reviews.Ensure complete and proper implementation of DIFC regulations and guidelines.Collaborate on broader compliance initiatives.Regulatory Framework - DIFC FocusPrepare and submit regulatory filings in accordance with DIFC requirements for the registration of EA ME.Liaise with the DFSA (Dubai Financial Services Authority) regarding the registration of the branch and preparation of statutory reporting specific to the DIFC.Establish and maintain the EA ME Compliance Framework aligned with DIFC regulations and Group requirements. .Advice and SupportProvide advice and solutions to business lines, top management, and other relevant stakeholders regarding DIFC regulations and statutory requirements.Support activities to ensure alignment with new or amended DIFC regulations and statutory requirements .Legal WatchImplement a legal watch (Veille Légale) in collaboration with the legal department, focusing specifically on DIFC regulations.Analyze the impact of relevant regulations and present findings to top managementConduct scheduled and ad-hoc Financial Crime reviews as per the approved annual control plan, adhering to DIFC AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) regulations.Assess first-level reviews conducted by business units for daily and monthly reports, with immediate reporting on non-compliance cases to the relevant authorities, if applicable.Perform regular testing to ensure full compliance with the Financial Crime policy, considering all types of customers and counterparties.Monitor customer names and transactions through internal systems to identify potentially suspicious activity.Escalate issues to relevant authorities as required .Data PrivacyAct as the Data Privacy point of contact, advising internal stakeholders on DIFC data privacy regulations and reporting potential breaches to the Group.Conduct regular testing to ensure full compliance with the Data Privacy policy aligned with DIFC regulations .Procedures and ControlsReview new and amended policies, procedures, services, and products for compliance with DIFC regulations.Monitor the implementation of new regulations or amendments to existing regulations within the DIFC..Training and AwarenessElevate employee awareness of DIFC regulations through coordinating continuous in-house courses and e-learnings.Conduct direct training sessions on compliance issues and requirements specific to the DIFC.ReportingSubmit periodic reports to Group Compliance/Internal Control, including details on DIFC compliance.Participate in preparing the regular compliance report sent to Group Compliance, ensuring inclusion of DIFC-related information.Manage the follow-up process for any identified gaps in compliance, ensuring timely implementation of remedial actions.Qualifications:Master's Degree (BAC+5) in Law, Finance, Compliance, or a similar field.Minimum of 5 years of compliance, risk, and/or audit experience in the insurance industry, preferably within a global organization.In-depth knowledge of DIFC regulations, particularly those related to insurance, anti-money laundering (AML), and data privacy (GDPR equivalent).Experience in Middle EastDemonstrated ability to manage internal controls effectively and ensure adherence to relevant insurance regulations.Proven organizational and project management skills with the capacity to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in interacting with regulatory bodies, senior management, and colleagues.Strong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.Highest degree of confidentiality and integrity.Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.A good team player, flexible and detail-mindedFluent in English (written and spoken).
