The company was founded on May 29, 1933, and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job Summary:We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD) to render environmental protection and performance aspects for refinery and gas plants. GMSD is responsible for providing technical consultations, operational support, troubleshooting, benchmarking, building strategies, business planning, and conducting assessments in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, cybersecurity, advanced process control and optimization, energy and electrical efficiency, process engineering, reliability and maintenance, operational excellence, etc. Your primary role is to establish and maintain an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO14001, ensure and improve compliance to applicable environmental regulations and standards, implement corporate environmental programs and procedures, and enhance facilities' environmental performance and business plan development. The Environmental Engineer will also be responsible for the overall implementation and governance of the Greenhouse Gas Management (GHG) program.Responsibilities:
Provide all cost engineering expertise and coordinate activities as a group/unit.Conduct regular environmental performance monitoring and reporting analysis.Ensure facility operating and business plans objectives are consistent and inline with company environmental protection policies and standards.Identify deviations and develop solutions to mitigate environmental risk and improve environmental compliance.Develop, review, and implement GHG management program including GHG data collection, analysis, and reporting.Conduct internal GHG assurance audit and provide support in preparation of facilities GHG 3rd party audits.Monitor solids and chemical disposals to guarantee safe environmental protection in compliance with governmental regulations.Monitor air quality, wastewater, and water conservation performance.
Requirements:The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering from a recognized university/college and an approved program. A master's or advanced degree and/or EPI/QEP certified professional status is preferred. A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector is required, particularly in Refining, Chemical, and/or NGL Fractionation Processes. Additionally, at least 7 years of experience in a direct environmental management role for a refinery or gas plants is necessary. Preferred competencies for the role include:
Strong management and coordination skills.Robust analytical and organizational skills.Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
