About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a critical role in both gas flaring reduction and petrochemical optimization projects in the dynamic energy landscape. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive environmental sustainability and operational excellence in the region's thriving petrochemical industry. You will lead technical aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring optimal design, efficient operations, and adherence to stringent safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct site-specific assessments of gas processing plants to identify flaring sources, quantify emissions, and develop tailored reduction strategies.Design and implement advanced engineering solutions for gas capture and reuse, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies and best practices.Analyze existing processes and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce flaring, considering the unique operational conditions of Iraqi facilities.Provide expert mechanical engineering guidance on technical feasibility, safety, and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with Iraqi regulations and standards.
Petrochemical OptimizationParticipate in flawless project delivery, startup, and operation of refinery and petrochemical units, contributing to operational readiness, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities....
Additional ResponsibilitiesDevelop coherent piping, mechanical, and rotating equipment data sheets, inspection test protocols, installation procedures, and spare part philosophies....
QualificationsBachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in gas flaring reduction, emissions abatement, or petrochemical optimization projects.
