TheMechanical Engineer will collaborate with architects contractorsand other engineers to deliver highquality sustainable buildingprojects.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop mechanical system designs for buildingsincluding HVAC plumbing and fire protectionsystems.
  • Create detailed engineering drawingsspecifications and equipment schedules using CADsoftware.
  • Coordinate with architects structuralengineers electrical engineers and other stakeholders to ensureseamless integration of mechanicalsystems.
  • Participate in project meetings andprovide technical guidance on mechanical engineeringaspects.
  • Perform load calculations energymodeling and system sizing to ensure mechanical systems areefficient and meet projectrequirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies andcost estimations for mechanical systems.
  • Ensureall mechanical designs comply with relevant codes standards andregulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trendstechnologies and best practices to incorporate intodesigns.
  • Provide technical support during theconstruction phase including site visits inspections and addressingany issues that arise.
  • Review and approvesubmittals shop drawings and change orders related to mechanicalsystems.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensiveproject documentation including design calculations reports andasbuilt drawings.
  • Ensure all design changes aredocumented and approved according to projectprocedures.
  • Conduct quality assurance andquality control (QA/QC) checks on mechanical designs andinstallations.
  • Participate in commissioning andtesting of mechanical systems to ensure they perform asintended.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or arelated field.
  • Minimum of 35 years ofexperience in mechanical engineering preferably in buildingprojects.
  • Proven experience with HVAC plumbingand fire protection system design.
  • Proficiencyin mechanical design software (e.g. AutoCAD RevitBIM).
  • Strong understanding of mechanicalengineering principles building codes andstandards.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and collaboratively in a teamenvironment.
