Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence is a 41-floor luxury serviced apartment tower in the Centre of Dubai’s business district. Standing on the site of the old-World Trade Centre on Zabeel Road, the striking high-rise comprises 377 serviced residences ranging from one-bedroom duplexes up to four-bedroom double-floor apartments. One of Dubai’s most acclaimed luxuries serviced residences, Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence is the place of first choice for travelers in search of short, medium-term and extended stays that combine home comforts with all the hallmarks of a five-star hotel service.
About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for Resident Engineer to join the team at Jumeirah Living.
Main Duties: and responsibilities of this role:
Supervises and directs the daily activities of the Maintenance ManagersMonitors engineering activities to ensure adherence to established policies, operating procedures and standards.Prepares comprehensive budgets and forecasts to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the department.Oversees the implantation, co-ordination and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System). This includes the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM and work order system.Handles any grievances, suggestions and complaints forwarded by colleagues and recommends appropriate action.Conducts Regular communication meetings with engineering colleagues.Responsible for appraising and formalizing career development / training plans for direct reports.Submits a comprehensive monthly report to the General Manager/Group Director of Engineering.Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering.To partake in occupational health and safety initiatives and form part of the SBU’s occupational health and safety committee.To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met.
About you:
In order to be considered for this role you will have at leasttwo years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment.
You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must. Yourexperience in handling guestrequests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
