In your new role, you’ll work closely with our Yard Operations Manager, Head of Operations and a variety of other stakeholders. Support YOP-C with the efficient management and execution of all YOP tasks in line with the global Doka quality guideline and proceduresManage workflow and manpower on a daily basis in accordance with the workload incl. personnel mattersTrain and develop our multicultural warehouse teamCommunicate successfully with stakeholders on all levels incl. internal as well as external yard staff, department heads, customers and truck driversPrepare and monitor the key performance indicators for Yard Operations regularlyEnsure a safe work environment in collaboration with our QHSE officer and in line with the company’s QHSE policyMaintain a safe, clean and orderly work environmentEnsure appropriate use and maintenance of tools, machinery and digital applicationsProfessional complaint management incl. assessment, communication with all stakeholders, follow up and documentation in the relevant systemsExecute and manage regular stock takes (spot check, partial – and annual inventory) to ensure optimal stock accuracy.Assist YOP-C with the strategic development of the departmentEncourage motivation, engagement and team spirit in line with Doka’s company culture to achieve the best possible team performanceAbility to work temporarily as a team leader and material inspector as required
Qualifications
Professional qualification/ degree in logistics, warehousing or related fieldsFive (5) years recent supervisory experience in yard, inventory or warehouse managementFluent in spoken and written EnglishAbility to meet deadlines and prioritiseExcellent software skills ( Excel, Word and Doka’s internal systems )Strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised and a hands-on mentalityExperienced in leading multicultural teamsExcellent communication skills coupled with a diplomatic attitudeAnalytical and economical approachProactive individual with attention to detailForklift and driving license is a plus
