Provide support and participate in liaison with government authorities regarding development objectivespolicies and procedures.Working from concept design through to detailed design producing CAD drawings graphicpresentations and design narratives to budget and schedule.Working closely with the Master Planners and design team to develop master plan urban planning andlandscaping solution for various types of projectInteraction and communication with clients and consultants during the design phase and at presentationsSolves problems in connection with the urban design and planning of large projectsAssists in developing urban design and planning concept incorporating site planning landscape planningtransportation and infrastructure systemsAssists with the preparation of complete design documents on major projectsCoordinates work with the project teamResponsible for various portions of master plan and site plan development documents team working onassigned tasks within a projectSolves complex problems in connection with the urban design and planning of large projectsDevelops urban design and planning concept incorporating site planning landscape planningtransportation and infrastructure systemsEstablishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Develop narratives on land use context concept and detailed maps including SWOT analysis.Team work and collaboration within a team/dedication to meet client deadlinesManages coordinates and leads smaller less complex projects independently with less oversight. Maylead smaller project client meetings and take ownership of report structure and content.Coordinates teams to prepare projects deliverables and applicable planning authorities requirementsand coordinate with various disciplines technical input and output into a project or a proposal.Initiates and drives innovative approaches to efficient project delivery. E.g. improved site analysisassessment or site planning due diligence and highlevel developer assessment.Prepares/reviews and understands datasets to correlate population projections against market demandsand supply.Prepares Methodology for small scale proposals without direct supervision and able to understand andcarry out the necessary internal processes to obtain approvals for proposal submission.Leads specialty topics / interests in urban planning e.g. wellness planning / placemakingUp to date with the current industry trends approaches tools and methodsThe candidate must possess expertise/experience in the following domains:Bachelors degree in Urban Planning and design urban policy sustainable development or equivalent.10 years of related urban planning / master planning experience is requiredProfessional membership such as RTPI AICP PIA CIP SIP or equivalent preferred.Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background such as experience indeveloping city visioning theming and benchmarking.Experience in policy development and governance is a plus.Experience of planning the MENA region especially in the GCC area.Good knowledge of data collection and research capabilities and ability to analyze qualitative andHas solid understanding of various scale of planning projects and determine differences andrequirements and communicates effectively.Thorough understanding of local and international practice and test standards for Urban planning.Has the ability to carry out baseline assessment analyse various data and develop criteria for theassessment of master plansHas the ability to develop implementation and phasing planningHas sound understanding of planning / environmental governance and policy and can communicateplanning / environmental governance and policy and make recommendations to clients where relevant.Software requirements include indesign Adobe photoshop MS office (excel word power point).Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach;You will be a forwardthinking individual ready to change the status quo and bring fresh ideas to theteam on how we can manage and deliver our projects.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be well utilised and your ability to developinternal and external working relationships is essential.
